“I understand.” she says, seeming only slightly deflated. “So is that it for today?”
“No, I think we can go for one more.” you tell her. “How about that other one you said, that other touch spell?”
“Vampiric Touch?” she asks, immediately brightening back up. “Sure! It's a vampiric spell, which means it absorbs the life force of the victims to heal any damage I've taken. Or, if I'm not damaged, it just gives me a temporary power boost.”
“Sounds good kiddo. Show me what you can do.” you tell her, retaking your fighting stance. “Whenever you're ready Milha, hit me.”
“Alright, hold still.” she says, gathering pinkish, shadowy energy around her right hand. “Curse Magic: Vampiric Touch!”
Your daughter reaches out, and gently lays her hand directly on your chest. The instant she does, you feel your very being being pulled out of you and into her. You had been exhaling as she had, your breath catching in your throat. Your instincts immediately scream at you that what's happening should NOT BE. Your body reacts, arms moving up to her arm and immediately grabbing her. Your left arm grabs Milha by the upper arm as your right grabs her forearm, immediately clamping down. You suddenly see fear in her eyes, your daughter's panic blatantly apparent on her face. And she immediately ends it.
“Father?” she asks, eyes wide and terrified. “Are-Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah. I'm... I'm fine.” you answer, letting her go after a few moments and sighing out. “That technique just felt... Wrong. My entire body felt how terrifying that technique was.”
“It's a good one, isn't it?” she replies, seemingly more joyously. “Think you can resist it?”
“I have no idea. But let's find out.” you say, taking a breath to settle your nerves. “I'm ready whenever you are.”
“Curse Magic.” she says, and once more that energy wreaths her hand as she reaches out. “Vampiric Touch!”
And once more her hand touches you, immediately sucking your very life force from straight through your body. Again your entire body, your entire being recoils from this fatal power. But you don't shy away, and instead attempt to resist her magic's pull. But it's futile. Your energy is being pulled out of you by the contact with her hand, pulling out your life force and sapping you by the second. Attempting your Energy Body fails, it unable to form as her magic drains it away. Trying to redirect the flow of your ki around the point of contact is also useless, as it continues pulling the energy straight from your soul. Is there no other way to stop this than by breaking contact?
