“W-what? Ancestor you can feel the power of Thungri flowing within my veins!” Adok told the Ghost in near surprise as he spoke those words, “How in the name of the Ancestor Gods that you have seen, can you believe me to be anything but what I say!”
“A Dawi of Karak A Karak does not come to Karak Ziflin without good reason.” The Dwarf said as he pointed an accusatory axe at the Dwarf, “And the son of Karak A Karak’s Runelord? Do you think me a fool that one of such an Ancestry would be willing to work without an army at his back!”
“On Grimnir’s Blood I am speaking the truth of truths! I am who I say I am!”
“Now you are not a Slayer, but then again I’ve never heard of the great Fireskins ever becoming Slayers! Perhaps your Father saw such a punishment beneath someone of your blood. Exiled from Karak A Karak to serve in the halls of the much lesser Karak Ziflin.” The Ghost was quite literally taunting the Dwarf as he said those words. Goulding for a fight that he was denied because cooler heads were prevailing.
“In the name of Morr, Gazul, and Grimnir!” Lucian spoke out against the ghost with a slam of his Scythe’s staff against the stoneworking, “We are here to help you! Karak Kol is infested with Undead and Skaven, the First King’s body stolen, your Idols defaced! Does trying to discredit us not hurt your Karak?”
The Dwarf gave a stubborn hum as he glanced at Lucian, “A Manling bearing the Symbol of the Slayers? And that appears to be the work of a Runesmith no less? I’ll tell you manling, I am not going to cower myself asking for the help of a disgraced Runesmith who ran away from Karak A Karak! Lorinkolt would demand that I slay his spirit instead of sending such vulgar company to save him!”
By all means Lucian could not believe what he was hearing. A Dwarf so firmly shuttered by death yet he was as spiteful as, well, a Dwarf. He could barely comprehend just what it was the Dwarf was so spiteful of. The circumstance of help should not have been of his concern.
Yet, the Knight realized, it was likely because he was a Dwarf that mattered. Just like Knights and their honor, the Dwarfen Dead would not ask help of someone who was tainted. For if he was tainted, then the victory would be just as tainted or the Gods simply move to spite the transgressor.
>Let Adok figure this out
>Yell the truth of the matter
>Get physical with the Dwarf
>Try to re-kill this fool
