Well now in these times you finally are alone and it's... difficult. Not anymore though perhaps, with a fellow Tanaloa to share the seas with! Oh what a bright and promising future you can have togethe-
<span class="mu-b">"-DIE MONSTER!"</span>
In a rage you surge straight for the creature, the both of you roaring and soon locked in a combat mighty enough to feed the storm above to even greater intensity! Though for all his size and ferocity, this false Tanaloa lacks any real force behind his actions. Not a pushover by any means, for anyone else he could pose a significant threat and probably lay waste to a human army or navy, and indeed he does deliver some injuring attacks to you. But it is not nearly enough to achieve victory over you, or to impede you significantly. Every blow of his that lands, you return with tenfold intensity, ripping and breaking between teeth and wielded statue.
Inevitably you end up getting carried away during the fight then, partly because of getting the scent of blood but mostly out of frustration from your previous defeat by the merman king. Although you've been getting by well enough, it was subconsciously weighing down on you heavily, hindering your confidence and performance. Now though, you have a worthy outlet to unleash all your pent up rage and energy. More than just you turning the tables on the massively larger monster, you also turn on his children who join the fight seeking to help their endangered father.
<span class="mu-b">"YOU TOO! ALL OF YOU!"</span>
In a way, the hybrid merrows are more dangerous than the false Tanaloa, because they are fully physical and material being. When he hits you, your spirit and your divinity are struck, albeit in a dampened manner. When the merrows bite or claw you though, that damage is fully felt in real wounds. Or at least as much as they are able to wound you, after all you are an unnaturally tough physical specimen. The merrows swarm you which tips the fight in the false Tanaloa's favor, but inevitably you endure and prevail. Whether it be by grabbing and crushing or twisting them to death with your hands, or biting into and ripping them apart with your teeth, it isn't so long before the waters here are utterly saturated with blood and viscera.
That, which only serves to fuel your anger even further, finally maiming and killing enough merrows to get at the false Tanaloa and finish things. Why, he's even trying to flee from you in his injured state! Letting his children take the fall so he can escape! He cannot escape you though, as a chase ensues where you inevitably bear down on and catch him. Despite being ten times your size or more, you can grab and hold him fast by the tail... and then rip it off! Great howls of pain as torrents of blood spew forth, and he begins losing definite form.
