“Huh?” he exclaims, your mother pulling him off-balance and onto his back. Then, with little ceremony drags him to the edge, tossing him off onto the ground. “Wh-What?”
“Contestant Botamo is out of bounds! The winner is contestant Meloka!” the announcer declares, your siblings cheering her on as you look to the other Destroyer. He seems completely stunned, eyes wide with shock. On the display you then see the bear's icon grey out, your mother still standing on the edge of the ring.
“Whaaaaaat?! No fair, she cheated! Rematch, rematch!!” Champa cries out, sounding like a spoiled child wanting dessert before supper.
“I'm sorry sir, but the match is over. Botamo lost fair and square.” the announcer shouts, Champa's dark, sinister aura suddenly blazing up around him as he glares down at the tiny man.
“I said it's not over, contradict me again and I'll destroy you.” Champa threatens, you hearing your father's muscles tense up. For a split second you're worried he's going to attack the Destroyer, before Beerus speaks up from behind you.
“Shaddup Champa! During a tournament, the referee outranks even us Destroyers!” he calls, you glancing back to see him sitting completely relaxed, eyes even closed. Whis then leans in, whispering just loud enough for you to hear him.
“My lord, do you truly believe that?” Whis asks, Beerus shaking his head.
“Of course not, don't be ridiculous.” Beerus replies, voice also low. But his taunt seems to have done the trick, Champa cooling off a bit.
“Now, for our next contestant from the Sixth Universe, contestant Frost!” the announcer calls out, the one who looks like Freeza rising up to his feet.
“Well then, looks like it's my turn.” this Frost says, leaping off the Destroyer's platform and to the arena below. “It is a pleasure to meet you. Your performance was exemplary. Before we commence, I want you to know I consider it an honor to match up with a warrior of such aptitude. Let's have a good, fair fight.”
“Y-Sure, alright.” your mother answers, shaking the offered hand. He then walks past her, addressing your family and allies in the stands.
“Ladies and gentlemen of the seventh universe, it is a shame we must gather here today with an us versus them mentality.” he says grandly, Freeza rolling his eyes. “Thankfully this is but a tournament. I believe that no matter who wins, at day’s end we’ll all be able to shake hands and say ‘That sir was a fair game well-fought.’ So, sit back and enjoy the contest between myself and your champion Meloka. Thank you for your time.”
Then, without waiting for an answer returns to his side of the arena, your mother looking at him confused while Freeza scoffs at this. You turning to him, curious.
