“You have done a terrible strike to my honor, your men did.” was the first thing Lucian said as he starred the man down, “Not only did your men manhandle me, but to be tied to this post and be a target with food. Perhaps I should ask the gods to damn thee.”
The Captain did not flinch at those accusations. He simply kept the light between the two of them for a minute allowing the force of that threat to become a cold dim flame. When he did speak he did not acknowledge the words but instead gave his own, “You understand that if I did not give the orders, my men would have thrown you overboard. Do you?”
The Knight could not help but give an expression of surprise as the words were given. The man did not seem affected by them and instead kept giving it straight, “These are troubled waters where a lot of problems can happen, Bretonnian. Rowdy passengers tend to have less rights than even rats, though thats probably because we can’t tie the rats up like a man. Even if you could break the rope, that armor of yours would sink you to the bottom of the sea.”
“Is that a threat?” Lucian asked him simply.
“If you take it that way. I would prefer you realize that causing a ruckus on the ship, and then not listening to me, almost got you killed. A Captain is King of his ship, with only Mann above him. Doesn’t matter if its the Lady or Sigmar, Mann rules the Seas and he makes it known daily.” He held off his lecture for a moment in thought, “Know that I was told that you were not a pompous Bretonnian Knight, someone who would so easily throw the lives of others because they called you a bad name. It's one of the reasons I was allowing such a heavily armed group onto this vessel.”
From his belt the man took out a knife and balanced it in his hands, “That… lizardman, came to me in my quarters and helped heal the wound you gave me.”
“The wound you got when you tried to restrain me!” Lucian barked with anger.
“The wound I got for trying to get your attention. You were ignoring me and running…” His bark petered out as he realized the words were going to fall on deaf ears, “Do you want down or not? Vow to me that you will listen to my words as Captain and I will cut you down. Perhaps, even, you can shed some better light on what that Lizard was telling me about.”
>I shall not make such a vow
>Fine, I vow to answer to you for this trip, Captain
