Just as times before TalOS watched as a plate of food was placed between him and his brother. His mother, E11IE, had the signs of concern upon her person but did not follow through with anything drastic that would have afflicted their conversation. The Priest simply gave her bow before leaving for the workshop to once again continue their research.
The two of them began to eat the meal that was before them. Magnus happily indulging in the flesh unlike many of their other brothers. Such a thing was enough for TalOS to ask, “Does it suit your tastes?”
The Red Primarch swallowed his food and gave a small grin, “Yes it does. The memories of who this was are jumbled and cooked with oil that makes whatever was before his death hard to know. As a meal it is for the taste for a Primarch and no other.”
“Do you have an issue that it was once man?” TalOS questioned feeling a genuine sense of curiosity.
“You have processed it according to the standard of your people. The delivery is odd, I will say, but the ultimate reasoning for nutrients is there. You, as the Mechanicum, need what makes man.” Magnus answered as he held a piece of it out, “So you decided to get it from man.”
With that the two of them continued their meal, eating the meat with a small silence between the two of them. The food went down their throats without any more error. The estimate was correct as TalOS felt himself full right when the last of the Corpse Starch was taken.
“When the chance comes to you, I ask that you visit me in Prospero.” Magus called out as they finished the meal, “Our food is not as engineered as what you’ve given me, I know the history and work that every meal has will give you a good piece of mind.”
“If I am not mistaken, that planet is filled with psykers.” TalOS pointed out as he focused upon his brother, “I am anathema to them, their fear of me both rational and irrational. Would I even be able to walk upon the soil without causing a riot?”
“Right now it's a maybe, later on I do think the chance will come.” Magnus spoke as he took in a drink of the B33R that TalOS had furnished between them.
