The first and second floor of the hospital had been an absolute wreck. From the looks of it, the looters did some real damage to the equipment and property before Cindy had gotten a chance to suit up and stop them. The place had been thrust into chaos since, doctors and nurses rushing the injured back and forth through crowded hallways, tending to those with near fatal wounds right there on the floor, and performing regular security sweeps. You had gotten caught up in one or two of them, but you were quickly able to verify your identity after they’d managed to get their systems back online.
On your way to your brother’s room, you ran into someone sitting in a chair and waiting patiently. He had a muscular build, dark skin, a clean shaven head, and tight, narrow features. He wore round glasses with a thin frame and a tailored suit paired with a lab coat. You had almost mistaken him for a doctor. He just had a…professional aura to him. It was hard to describe.
Soon enough, the man turned to face you and a wry grin spread across his face. <span class="mu-b">“Ah, you must be the ‘Blasphemer’ that I’ve heard so much about.”</span> he said, sounding slightly amused. He rose from his chair and crossed the distance between you in an almost casual manner.
You raised an eyebrow at that, paying close attention to your spider-sense, just in case this guy tried anything funny.
<span class="mu-b">“I am known as Dr. Badr, high priest of the Moon God, Khonshu.”</span> he declared, practically radiating pride when he mentioned the title.
