Turns out it’s Baba’s Palace, with the Ghouls being tasked with keeping watch over them as part of their training. Apparently could have put them in the Lookout somewhere… but that’s prooooobably a bad idea, yeah. Besides, better to have them watched over by a whole team. The grub, to your surprise, actually seems to be fine in the environment, even with it being a desert oasis, though Baba’s set aside a little ice room for it to stay in regardless. The Shapeless meanwhile is put inside a special crystal ball, not merely contained but genuinely sealed in it.
“It’s interesting.” Baba remarks.
You look to her with a tilt of your head. “What is?”
“I have seen glimpse of things like this from time to time, while practicing my craft. Never would they pose any immediate danger, but it would leave me wondering what they were.” Baba tells you. “It won’t cause any problems here, at the very least. I’m not one to leave valuable Magical artifacts lying around.” she says with a slight smirk.
You approach the crystal and tell the Shapeless, “Well, you’re out of the Arctic. Hope you’ll use this chance for the better.”
It remains silent. Oh well.
“Hey Izzy!” Phanty excitedly exclaims as she pokes her head up from the floor. “The lil’ bug guy does tricks!”
You blink. “…Really?”
She floats up completely. “Yeah! Tannis just taught ‘em to balance on a ball.”
Aww. That’s one of the first ones you remember Icarus learning. “All right, good luck watching over it. I’ll probably be back another time.”
“Aww, leaving already?” the ghost girl asks with a slight pout.
