It's minor at first. Your goggles spy a trickle of iridescence from the nearest entrance. Then it becomes a stream that sprays out of the mid-air exit, sprinkling junk data out onto the street. An alarm sounds out as the whole district is placed on alert. White cracks spread across the outer shell of the building. From every intended entrance and output port, trash is ejected in terrifying volumes. It piles out onto the streets and the adjacent roads, only partially deterred by the electromagnetic barrier of the compound. It's more like a flood than an explosion. Once enough flows out to completely fill the grounds, the barrier is shattered completely, creating a massive puddle of garbage. You don't envy the Digimon up in their air that have to witness this.
You find yourself slightly conflicted. On one hand, this is quite a bit lamer than a colossal, all-encompassing explosion. It's like a foam leakage. On the other, it's probably better for the residents that they don't have an entire center exploding on them.
Right as you think this, the partition cracks in half and a massive volume of junk bursts into the air. It's the largest trickle yet, forming a pillar as large and violent as the datastreams that streak through the perpetual night. Multiple Pteramon are torn apart by it, and you watch as the sole Cargodramon begins pumping gunfire into the torrent on instinct. It's like a reverse waterfall, that vents the entire contents of the ruined partition directly into the sky.
All four of you are equally stunned. You stand there for painfully long, listening to the sounds of screaming, sirens, and rotors from Digital responders. Every so often, spurts of data are ejected sideways, splashing onto the streets and buildings.
Only when you hear the violent tearing of jet engines does Kaus Gammamon snap out of the stupor. He gazes upwards at the approaching form of Brigadramon, here to observe directly.
