“We are the Mechanicum.” TalOS told the Slug outright as he tapped his finger upon the metal chair, “You are Governor Astros, correct?”
The slug looked at TalOS for a moment before its head fell for a moment. Its was obvious the Xenos attempted some kind of Psychic effect to affirm the question but realized too late what was taken away from him.
“I am, barbarian.” The creature said in a pained anguish.
“Do not call me a Barbarian, Xenos, for I already know more about your people than you do yourself.” TalOS declared as he pointed at the blocked eye of the Xenos, “You are the Barbarians, the ones that attacked humanity outright and without reason. The culling of our people just so you had a place to colonize in the future. At least we, the Mechanicum, will feed you before your death.”
“With the flesh of our own people!” Shouted the Xenos as he bashed the metal device into the bars, “When Admiral Carne, Slayer of Gumsh, comes they will show you no mercy.”
“Vengeance.” TalOS allowed himself a moment to let those words settle on his tongue, “You do not beg for the lives of your people. You do not beg for your own life. You declare that I shall be killed by a hero of your people?”
“Don’t make a fool of me, Leader of the Metal Men, we are already dead. You will not let any of us survive whatever foul experiments your god can conjure up.” He said with venom in his voice, “If we did, you don’t have enough ships for all of us.”
The creature was intelligent, TalOS would give him that. TalOS did not invite him over to be yelled at but for curiosity's sake. Already he had learned so much more than he could have. The name of who shall come to face him.
As for the fate of the Governor, one who has surely orchestrated the attacks on several humans in his lifetime…
