>>5811231“Furthermore, with the attack focused on the woman with Raditz, instead of Raditz himself, I believe that he took her with him and fled the planet to avoid any further collateral damage. As well as attempting to protect her.” the Sith specter continues, pacing back and forth as he thinks while you continue your reps. “Now, whether he believes that your daughter is the attacker behind it all or not is irrelevant, as there's one more issue: they're still out there.”
“Tch!” you seethe through clenched teeth, feeling your own anger rising at the thought. You'd not thought much about it, what with Meloka's return and all, but the fact there's something out there attacking your people and has gotten away with it so far? This can't be allowed to go on. “So. How do we? Stop them?”
“Unfortunately, as of right now, there's nothing TO do.” he replies, sounding genuinely annoyed at this fact. “With only a single attack, we can't establish a motive, a target group, an operating procedure, nothing. With it being a single isolated incident, there is nothing to work with. And, with the victim fleeing, either the attacker will pursue them. Or, the attacker could find another victim here, resuming their rampage with a separate victim. We shall have to wait to see.”
“Damn.” you reply, continuing your workout as you think, thanking the Sith for his insight. The situation is bad, but the worst part is the uncertainty. Not knowing whether this is the first of many, or if it is truly Raditz's problem and will follow him instead. You mull this over as you continue your morning workout, Chaya not joining you the entire time. Which you aren't pleased with, but she's a grown woman and can do as she pleases. Ending your workout you shut down the gravity chamber, heading over to the showers and washing everything off you before heading to the mess hall.
Walking in, most of your family are already gathered, even to your surprise Chilli, Megumin, and their children joining you all. Along with Turles and Ticho, the two sitting across from Broly and Koriand'r. Meloka'd left the seat directly across from her open for you, the younger twins sharing a seat on one side, Okira and Karn Jr sharing one on her left so they could all be closer to their mother. You take your seat and dig in, enjoying your breakfast as well. But, as you eat, Meloka gets your attention with a telepathic question.
“Where's Chaya? Did she run off to Dreadzone early this morning?” she asks, you feeling a small bit of hurt behind the question. Your wife no doubt wanting to spend time with her oldest as well.
