>>5424913>Order Sebastian and Ava to assist you, or take on another task>“Ava, I need you to go and backup Corrine. Sebastian and I will deal with their leader while we have the opportunity.”“Be careful, Commander.” Ava knocks an arrow on her bow, and runs off to assist Corrine, who is currently outnumbered and at a weapon disadvantage.
General Ivan and his men are only a short distance away from you, but the Paladin has hardly paid any attention to your exploits, instead choosing to oversee his men’s efforts to knock down Arcadia’s doors. You can hear him barking orders at the soldiers who are looking to cut their way through the wooden gate and begin slaughtering the village’s inhabitants.
“Faster men! The sooner we deal with the heretics inside, the faster we can leave this forsaken place!”
The gate to Arcadia doesn’t look like it has much left in it. While you and Sebastian are outnumbered, you can’t allow the enemy to breakthrough without a challenge. You’d utterly fail your promise to Elias if you did. Fortunately, the Crusaders working on the gate are all grouped up, allowing you the opportunity to attack them with a Fimbulvetr. You feel the magic coursing through you as the wind picks up and the air becomes frigid. Most of the Crusaders continue their task unflinchingly, with the exception of their commander, Ivan, who turns towards you.
“The Witch of Magdred Way. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that a daemonette like you would come to the aid of a village of heretics.”
>“I’ll give you one chance to call this attack off and leave with your men alive!”Ivan scoffs. “You killed so many of my comrades back at Magdred! Do you truly think I’d give up an opportunity to see them avenged? I, Ivan the Firestorm, shall send you hurdling down towards the flames of hell!”

You let loose your Fimbulvetr spell, taking careful aim to not do any further damage to the village gate. A tornado of ice blankets the area, engulfing the four Crusaders in front of you. The three at the door fall immediately, their screams lost as the loud icy winds flay them alive. Within the tornado though, you see a spark of flame. Ivan emerges forth on his warhorse, holding a familiar weapon you’ve seen before. A Flame Spear.
>3 Crusaders Killed (15 XP gained, 80/100)>Ivan, missed!Ivan gallops towards you, his spear engulfed in flames and poised to strike you down. Sebastian steps ahead of you, raising his shield to take the blow in your stead.
