The gun appears to shift and takes many forms but once possessed the wielder is bound to the following sequence, and cannot let go:
For the first shot:

miss on 3, 4, 5, 6
For the third (and final?) shot

hit on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Surrender the gun afterwards, or the cycle begins again, back to the first shot
miss on 6, and the gun backfires, instantly killing the wielder
The calibre fired by this weapon is True Death. It does not require ammunition, for it is fed by the infinite hunger of night. Nothing can survive it.
