>How did you count the number of provinces in the map?I usually count them like pic related. Each color has 100 territories, from the top color (red) to the lowest possible color. If I knew of a program that would allow a script to detect the number of white territories (grouped pixels), I would use that instead of GIMP.
>What are your takes on these ideas?These ideas sound fine. I never tried something like this, but I don't think its going to be a problem. The only constraint is it might take me more time to fill in the shaded territories if they grow big on a large map.
