You look down at a pair of fools with your arms crossed beneath your bosom.
This is not the first time that you've had to chew someone out, and nor will it be the last. Mercifully, neither Astra or the stormwolf alpha - <span class="mu-i">Romulus</span>, your mind corrects itself - seem to be the recalcitrant sort. Both of them look suitably chastised, neither of them are looking at one another, and Romulus' fur is soaked through with the splash of cold water that you conjured and subsequently dunked on them.
You're not mad. You <span class="mu-i">were</span> moderately disgusted before you learned that a certain someone had just been <span class="mu-i">too intimidated</span> to speak ever since you bopped his snout. Actually, no, you're still moderately disgusted, but more by the fact that they were engaging in the act so close to you.
It reminded you a bit too much of your aunt and her tendency to <span class="mu-i">enjoy</span> the company of the serving staff in the castle stairways.
Her husband quite obviously preferred the company of men, so you suppose an heir had to be produced somehow, but still. People called your preferred dress scandalous while such licentious activities took place right under their noses.
[My Lady,] Romulus' voice rings in your mind. Getting his dick wet appears to have restored the telepathy he was too shaken up to use earlier. He bows his head to you like a chastened hound. [If anyone must be punished for this indiscretion, then lay your wroth upon me. It was my at my insistence and cowardice that we did not wake you for aid in purging our maladies by less licentious means. I am willing to accept any punishment that you would give.]
"Hell no!" Astra shouts with a vigorous shake of her head. "It was that incubushroom's fault, Rommy didn't do anything wrong! Hell, I was the one who let it get close enough that when it popped, its spores could blow over and... well..."
Her ears a bright red, Astra turns slightly away.
Your lips curl into an amused smile, "<span class="mu-i">Rommy</span>, huh?"
Romulus gives a dry bark, and Astra makes a choking sound. Amusing as the pair acting like young lovers caught in the act, there is a more serious matter to attend to about the fallout of their "activities". One you doubt either of them will particularly mind, given how vigorously they complained at being doused and pulled off one another before you cleared out their systems.
Monsters can be taken as familiars by humans. This does not expand their mental faculties, as taking a mere animal as familiar might, but it does create a bond of magic that can be very convenient both in and out of battle.
There are many ways to bind a familiar. Typically, the human caster will feed the monster a portion of their blood, laced with magic. An exchange of orgone is not unheard of, however, and, well...
<span class="mu-s">The connection is there. What do you do about it?</span>
>Sever the connection. They needn't know they forged it
>Explain the consequences of their actions and ask them
>Let them live with the consequences of such a bond
