After making small talk to your hearts content you finally feel like you're relaxed again to return to normal functionality. Getting up from the stall you look expectantly at Shirahoshi.

But as you go out your worries disappear as it looks like that Neptune is not at all concerned with anything other than the children swarming him. They all seem to be having a great time as the kids climb on their king like he's a living jungle jim.
"Oh-ho-ho-ho! Where are you ya little rascals? I'm gonna get ya! Oh I'm gonna- Oh. Hi there kids. It's not time to leave yet, is it?"
"No father. We just thought we'd get some fresh air and check up on you."
"Oh that's great! Silver my boy, wouldn't you like to take over a little so I can lie down just for a bit?"
"Sure."
You fly up and nab all the kids so Neptune can get some breathing room. Once you've herded all of the fish-kids around you introduce them to Marauder and the wonderful game of crab ball where you must pass the rolled up crab around without letting it touch the ground. As you start kicking the crustacean around tiredness finally catches up with Neptune who crashes on a nearby bench.
"You okay there Santa?"
"Phew. Yes. It's just that my body is not what it used to be-jamon. But it's good to be finally doing something relaxing and not just working all the time."
"Is it that bad?"
"Oh yes. Anybody could rule. But to rule well one must put a lot of effort into it. Not just to make sure your people are safe and secure-jamon, but to deal with the other powers of the world as well. That blasted last part is especially tedious. But I'm sure you'll learn that yourself soon enough now that you're an emperor."
"Hmmmm."
"But I take comfort in the knowledge that I can retire soon."
"You're retiring?"
You look at Neptune and the crab falls down in front of you.
"Soon I will be. Once we're done moving to the surface and the dream of Otohime is realihzed I think I'll step down and let Fukaboshi take the crown. I'll still help him of course but I feel like it's for the best if he'll be remembered for forging the future of our people on the surface and not some crusty old fish like me. But we still got a lot of work ahead of us before that-jamon. Like finding a good island-jamon."
