"What are you doing?" you ask, your face flushing with embarrassment.

Using Google, you located Sgt. Schubert's home address in Westchester for the second date. The FBI is still present, along with the headmaster and his daughter, Elizabeth, dressed in the white robe of an ancient priestess.

While the two of them chat, the headmaster explains to you that he’s been assisting with the investigation since this morning, given his expertise in the paranormal and witch hunting. That’s why he had been absent from school all day, except when he came to retrieve your grandfather’s diary. He lets you pass the yellow crime scene tape and leads you to the bedroom, an ordinary room with the shared belongings of a married couple.
"Elizabeth didn’t uncover anything substantial, just a lingering sense of malevolent energy. Perhaps you will be able to detect something else. I'll leave you to it," he says, before taking his leave.
You close your eyes and concentrate on the mana from the surrounding environment but feel nothing different from usual. Unfortunately, you're not yet attuned enough to sense the subtle energies at play.
