I think it is because in actual period dramas like Jane Austen or Dickensian adaptations etc I enjoy lol there are actually just no such scenes of CORSET VIOLENCE so of course you have to go to the dreaded Hollywood or DIS adaptations. In that Verhoeven Flesh+Blood film there are too many coercive disrobings to count lol in fact this is probably the entirety of the film, just the historically accurate manner of their undressing lol. I can also think of a scene in that cringe Richard Gere Sean Connery First Knight King Arthur film, when Guinevere gets captured by Malagaunt and thrown into that weird stone quarry pit dungeon. Finally the hottest scene is probably the one in Interview With A Vampire, where Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst spectate upon some eroticised macabre rendition of théâtre de la cruauté performed upon an unwitting victim by that Parisian mime vampire troupe etc (they all get scythed and burnt, yay)
