“My sources told me that Ka-Shing is interested in saving Flint’s ass. But he ain’t where Ka-Shing thinks he is.” You reveal. Crossbill offhandedly told you all about Ka-Shing’s plans to attack the White Flames, just a minute after Celia and Aurora returned from their own talk. Former Prisoner Brutus snitched. He did what he said he was going to do during the post-escape party...
“How do you know…? Whatever, I’d be surprised if we don’t have a rat between all our mercenaries.” Carol has a new headache to worry about. “Where is Flint then?”
“An alien abducted him. <span class="mu-i">The</span> alien.” You half-joke.
“...I’m going to hang up.” Carol sounds upset.
“Oh right, you never got your memories back of that incident…” You act mysterious.
“Huh? What memories? Oh no, this is going to be a thing, isn’t it...?” Carol doesn’t like where this is going.
“It already is. You have a minute? This can take some time to explain.” You ask.
“...Stick to the Flint stuff. I need to make sure Vivi doesn’t get in trouble.” Carol has bigger fish to fry.
“Is she involved?” You don’t like where this is going.
“In the assault for saving private Flint? It was her damn idea.” Carol frowns.
“Is she like <span class="mu-i">gone</span> now?” You’re getting worried.
“We’re waiting for the bombshell to drop. Vivi ain’t going in guns blazing, it isn’t her style. The one time she did, a whole damn building collapsed on her.” Carol points out.
“Sounds rough.” You wonder how Vivienne is even alive, but who are you to talk about surviving unlikely scenarios? “Tell me what I can do to stop her.”
