You take a deep breath and try to come up with a solution to make Mikhail leave you alone. Finally, you make a decision and turn to him, "Mikhail, listen, I promise to give you half of my lunch tomorrow if you leave me alone for the rest of the evening."
Mikhail looks at you with a grin, "Hmm, that's a tempting offer. But why should I believe you?"
You sigh, "I swear, I'll keep my promise. Just please, give me some space."
Mikhail seems to ponder for a moment before nodding, "Fine, half of your lunch tomorrow. But if you don't keep your promise, I won't be so kind next time."
You nod in relief, grateful that he has finally backed off. You ponder whether or not to report him to the teachers. After he leaves, you rush over to Angelina to make sure she's okay. "Are you alright, Angeline?" you ask.
She nods, looking shaken but unhurt. "Who was that crazy guy?" she asks.
"His name is Mikhail and he's been bothering me for a while. Don't worry, I'll handle him," you assure her.
"Are you going to be okay with only half a meal tomorrow?"
You force a smile and say, "I'll figure something out. By the way, sorry it took me so long to get here. Why did you wait for so long?" you ask.
"I figured you'd show up eventually," she responds. The girl looks a bit in shock and it doesn't seem she wants to talk much.
You make your way back to the dorms, feeling exhausted after the long day. As you push open the door, the dim light from the hallway illuminates the room just enough to see Mikhail lying on his bed, snoring loudly. You let out a sigh of relief that he's not awake to cause any trouble.
As you tiptoe over to your own bed, you can't help but wonder what tomorrow will bring. Will Mikhail continue to bully you? You shake your head, knowing that it's best not to dwell on it for now. You slip under the covers and close your eyes, letting the events of the day fade away as sleep slowly takes over.
The night passes uneventfully, with only the occasional sound of your roommate's snoring interrupting the silence. By morning, you feel rested and somewhat ready to face whatever challenges the new day may bring.
