But always worth keeping in mind; the Almhorad's are desperate. You know because of their offer for you to help them. They have their customs and traditions they hold dearly to, but in favor of not losing the war and being conquered... perhaps their ways can be twisted to suit you.
<span class="mu-b">"I-I... I would try but... you have a way with people, with words. That is not my way..."</span>
<span class="mu-s">"Do you wish that it was? I know not if I can teach you what is natural for me, but I can try to help."</span>
Of course there's lots of things you aren't good at. You always figured... why bother learning anything when you can just smash everything? It's not that you're stupid or incapable of learning or changing your ways, bur rather that you never met any opposition which could withstand you, ultimately. And in many ways that is still true, but your powers are not what they used to be, and in some rare exceptions... like the Atlantean king, different methods might benefit you.
A choice example being diplomacy, charisma and that sort of thing. Like the ancient Atlanteans and their prowess for oration, or how in present times Faysal might lack that ancient finesse, yet he is still clever and convincing nonetheless. Unlike some more tangible skills though, the difficulty is that charisma isn't something you can learn in as straightforward a manner, especially given your... demeanor. Indeed, Faysal would rather just continue to speak on your behalf. However that doesn't mean it isn't possible for you to learn, and in the future you could try your own hand at diplomacy... perhaps wielding your divinity, you could be as gracefully successful at convincing others, as you are at destroying them. Failing that, there's always appeasement!
All that considered, as the week passes by and you near full recovery, you gain a better grasp of your options and capabilities here. The mainland has always been a ripe target for you to prey on, so maybe a little time meddling with the humans would be a good chance away from your recent troubles with the sea. Then again, with all the complexities you face... you wonder if it wouldn't be better or easier to travel elsewhere? A place where the humans aren't so difficult to navigate amongst, or a place where humans remain familiar to you as you listen to their voices calling your name in the waters. Or even, some far-flung place beyond what anyone knows, just pick a direction and start swimming...
Of course this is just a consideration, an option. Either remaining or leaving, the one thing you know should be a priority either way, after your defeat by King Idaios... is to increase your divinity. Either personally for you yourself, or in aggregate with servants and allies altogether. Whether in service to your goddess, or to ascend as a god yourself, the more divine power you have the more free you are to do whatever you need or want to.
>What do you do?
