Could it have been cowardice? Perhaps, but if Gorgon truly had no stomach for battle why not simply turn his mech around and flee in it rather than leaving it behind? There was even a half-eaten MRE hanging out of the storage compartment. A mystery to be sure, but one Loose Widget didn’t have time to ponder as and strapped himself in and prepared to re-join the battle.
