"Good, good. Glad to see you're doing well." You raise up from your seat. Lex looks about the same as last time. Leather jacket, a beanie, simple jeans and a t-shirt. They look a bit cleaner than last time. Guess he used that money to get some new ones.
As for Ashley, she's still wearing the same outfit as when you saw her yesterday. Only real thing of note is the fact her baseball bat looks brand new. "Sorry if we're late. Hadda buy a new one. Last one snapped." Well that's mildly intimidating but you're glad she's on your side for once.
>Lex and Ashley have joined the party! You now have Ashley's stat sheet!
ASHLEY MILLER
FLESH: 4
RESTRAINT: 3
VIOLENCE: 4
TALENT: 4
WILLPOWER: 4
CHARM: 2
CONNECTIONS: 1
CONIGZANCE: 2
BOONS
[DEEP INTUTION] After living on the streets for god knows how long, her intuition is as sharp as a razor. She'll spot details anyone else would miss and can easily tell when danger is approaching. Pay attention to her warnings.
[ATHLETIC PHYSIQUE] While not as tough and strong as Lex, she's far better at picking herself back up. She recovers 1 more FLESH from all healing items and she can ignore up to one crippling injury inflicted on her.
BANE:
[NUMB] She's desensitized to the world and people around her. She takes one less RESTRAINT damage from all sources but it's incredibly hard to raise her RAPPORT (and therefore improve her as an ally.) Getting her to rely on you will be a struggle.
INVENTORY: BASEBALL BAT (+1 VIOLENCE (5 total) while equipped. The user can reroll two VIOLENCE dice with every attack.)
You hand over the money you own them for them coming along for the mission. You already accounted for this when purchasing your items so you don't actually lose any more money. You're left with $205 now.
After pocketing their money, Ashley is the first to speak up. "I got a feeling we got a third customer comin'?" Ashley spits out a wad of chewed up bubblegum onto the platform floor.
"Y-yeah, how did you kno-" "A real weird lookin' motherfucker's coming over here." Ashley points behind you. A shambling corpse of a man slowly stumbles over to the three of you. Ah. Quentin. He hasn't even bothered to brush the snow clinging to his body.
Lex's face scrunches up like he's looking at a dog turd. "You sure you want to bring this guy along? I mean, I trust ya, but..." He glances between you and Quentin. Ashley doesn't seem to really care about Quentin's presence. "Eh. He seems loyal. Why shove him away."
"I AM VERY LOYAL." Quentin slurs out. "I AM QUENTIN. IT IS. A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU, MISS?"
"Ashley. Gotta say, not sure how I dig the rotting corpse look but you can't be THAT worthless. C'mon. Let's get going. Train's about to leave any moment now."
The only electronic sign in the place lights up. "DISTRICT 8, SECTION ZETA-5. ETD: 2 MINUTES." You check your map. Seems like his house is in that section. Alright, no time to dick around. You lead the way forward to the train while your allies trail behind.
