You begin moving forward, flying over the forest in front of you and peering below, looking out for any movement. For a while you don’t see anything, until suddenly, an arrow bursts out of the trees, only narrowly missing Beathan by a hair. Pulling your steed up further in the sky, you glance down at where the arrow came from, noticing activity below by the trees. It looks like your feeling paid off, Kronya was indeed looking to set an ambush.
You glance towards where your friends are currently fighting. Professor Byleth has managed to badly wound the second Demonic Beast, allowing your comrades to deal with the enemy infantry. Whoever these bastards are, they’re tough. Despite being outnumbered, they’re able to hold their own against the best of the Black Eagles. While your comrades should be able to get through them in theory, the presence of these ambush soldiers may complicate matters.
Getting to the ground to warn the Professor about the oncoming soldiers is one option, though given the current circumstances and how close the enemy is, you may not make it in time. Suddenly though, a thought grips your head. An idea you had from one of the many classes on battlefield strategy you’ve taken. Using the fire magic that you’re able to conjure, you may be able to partially set the forest below you ablaze, stifling the enemy ambush soldiers. With the right touch, timing and quantity of magic, you may be able to seriously damage, if not outright kill them, while limiting any collateral damage.
If you mess up though, you may just set fire to the entire Sealed Forest.
“How are you guys doing over there? Still alive?” Kronya calls out. “Don’t give up before I get to have my own fun!”
