You don’t hear an answer, so you keep talking. You tell her that some powerful people are after her, and that this might be a matter of life and death. You also tell her that you can’t say too much outside, and that it might be safer to talk inside, or at least over the phone.
Silence. Etsy asks you over the radio if you feel any different, just in case you’re being mind controlled without realizing it, but you don’t feel a sudden urge to watch some obscure anime, so you don’t think that’s the case.
“...Is this about my sister?” She says over the door.
You tell her that it isn’t, it’s about her. Etsy tells you over the radio that Leah is supposed to be an only child, according to what she found online.
She lets out a heavy sigh, and opens the door. “There’s nothing special about me. You got the wrong person.”
Leah Parker is...not too far off from what you imagined, actually. She’s chubby, but not fat enough to be considered hard to look at. Her eye bags are somehow even larger than that of Etsy, and her hair can best be described as randomly generated by whatever side of the bed she woke up on this morning. She’s also wearing a ‘gamer shirt’, you unfortunately can’t read the text written on it without looking like you’re staring at her chest.
You tell her that she is indeed the person you’re looking for. She stands in front of you in silence for a little bit longer, before gesturing you to come inside with a groan. Her room is not as much of a mess as you expected, it’s honestly not too different from your own house. It’s a one room studio where everything is in one place; the kitchen, the shower, the bed, it’s compact and efficient.
She locks the door behind you. “So you uh...” she looks down at her shirt. “Right, I know what you’re thinking. It’s ironic, not that it’s funny even with the irony, I wouldn’t really wear it outside, you know. I just wear it because it’s comfortable. Actually, I’ll just change- right, no place to change. Would be awkward if I just took off my shirt in front of you. Uh...” She starts waving her hand. “The thing you came here to talk about, say it.”
