When your confused look persisted, she glanced between Ben and Ana, but neither of them seemed to understand what she was saying either.
The vampiress frowned as well. She looked genuinely put out, for some reason.
Ward's hand hit the table so hard that it cracked.
“MINA! That. Is. Enough.”
Everyone tensed, preparing for a fight to break out. But Mina didn't rise to meet her brother's anger. She seemed to be puzzling something over in her head.
“Something is terribly wrong here.” she muttered.
“You've got that right, sister. The proximity alarm's gone off.” Walker said, checking a device on his wrist. Everyone turned to stare at him. “And we've got about 4 minutes before we're drowning in zombies.”
Alarm registered on the faces of everyone present, and Ben was glancing over at the door, likely feeling for that danger sense of his.
“What is he talking about?” Young asked, looking between him, Mina and Garth.
Garth groaned, and Garth whipped something out of his cloak. Your eyes widened as soon as you recognized it.
“You've done enough, old timer.” Walker said, right before he pulled the trigger on his hand cannon. The noise that erupted from it was so loud that it left both sets of your ears ringing!
In an instant, the entire left side of Garth’s face was gone, exposing the black, rotting matter inside.
The room exploded into motion. Ben webbed the muzzle of the gun, gluing the barrel shut. Solomon Kane moved to grab the gun, but Harpy was quicker, skewering Walker with her talons and lifting him up. She had risen to her full height, and was moving to tear Walker's throat out with her bare teeth.
The mercenary cracked her across the jaw with the butt of his pistol, planted his boot on her chest, and kicked off of her. Before he had even hit the ground, Ward was already moving to intercept. His body blurred as he made use of his inherent supernatural speed, but you were able to make out his general outline. Your kinetic vision had improved as a result of your transformation, it seemed, because you clearly saw Carnelian snatch up the Nosferatu before he could reach the thrall.
The Were had grabbed him by the throat, and Ward's glowing red eyes burned as they settled on Carnelian.
Both Ben and Ana moved to shield you, and Delphyne and Young went to check on Garth. The Zombie Prince was groaning pitifully, swaying in his seat, but still, somehow, seemed okay. Despite the fact that half his head was now missing.
Walker rolled when he hit the floor, throwing off his cloak and removing another device from his belt. He wasn't wearing much more than a black tank top and jeans under it. You could clearly see where the Harpy’s claws had pierced his flesh, but he didn't pay it any mind.
“Right. I guess we're doing this the hard way.” he said, pressing a button on what was undoubtedly a detonator of some kind.
