Kuriza powers up and launches at you with a swipe of his hand, and while you initially think you’ve dodged him by flying back, the moment you sense Keli try to move into active combat, Kuriza hits your tail with a frigid beam, literally sending a chill up your spine. You try to head back while striking a cool (heh) pose, but he keeps firing, until your whole body’s encased in ice. Keli’s forced to move you out of combat while also avoiding Kuriza’s attacks, though she does do a better job at it than you were. Eventually you’re able to recover your senses enough to punch out of the ice and share a bit of your Ki with her before the 20 count hits, but it’s less than you wanted to.
Out of combat, you shatter the rest of the ice and shiver as you try to warm yourself up. To her credit, Keli IS being very careful around Kuriza, using her Ice-boosted Dodonpa to counter Kuriza’s Ice-infused beams with one hand, and then knocking forward the resulting frost with Wind-boosted Ki blasts. While it’s not doing much to hurt him, it is catching on his outfit and making it more awkward to move around in.
He tries to change up tactics, moving in close and even freezing the ring again, but Keli’s prepared for that, letting out an Ice- AND Wind-boosted Explosive Wave that fractures the ice, but also ends up powderizing it into snow! Kuriza’s surprised, but he’s not taking that much damage. At least, not yet.
‘Gonna try out the Makaio-ken. Think you’re up for a combo?’
