TalOS pondered to himself as he wondered within his mind where they shall focus. Indeed the idea of Xana looking into getting some more practical experience would help, but that might be a waste of a very valuable resource. At least, a resource that TalOS cannot expand before the event happens.
Thus the Primarch had to simply ask, “Astropath, am I correct in that your kind are able to see the souls of the living?”
“That is… correct my Lord. The souls of the living are left bare for our eyes to see.” The old man answered as he gave a solemn nod, “But you already know of this, my Lord, for you have already consumed the blood of our kind.”
TalOS gave the man a sharp eye of study, “I take it Navigator Lawrence told you of it?”
“Indeed. As he had told you he could not keep such a secret against his fellows.”
TalOS could not expect any more from an entire organization of psykers, “Send to the men upon Xana knowledge that psykers can see the souls of everything. An innate characteristic that they have to both have sight and to scry into the warp. They must use this to study the souls of men and use them to their advantage.”
“I shall endeavor to inform them of this.” Said the Astropath while giving a small bow.
TalOS then took a moment to think as he then spoke again, “That is not the only thing I need of you. I know the amount of messages will be short but it must be sent for that project to be a success.”
The Astropath stiffened as if terror had engulfed his person. Such an action was not one of anger against him but a simple fear of exhaustion. TalOS had already seen the reports of numerous Astropaths becoming unconscious or even the rare death. It was the cost of the Blackstone Fortress even with the Psi-Candles subsidizing it.
“Send a message to my sons, those who are with Malcador. I have an understanding that Psykers cannot survive contact with Nulls but if my sons have a great willpower something might happen for them. Send this message to Malcador.”
“The Regent of Terra shall be informed.” Answered the Astropath as he hesitantly took a bow before TalOS.
“Then you are released. I thank you for such a service and pray that you survive.” TalOS said as he gave a short bow to the old Astropath.
