The Mold Dogs (as you will refer to them) are already beginning to reform but you'd imagine they'll take a while before they can chase after you again.
With one more kick for good measure, you leave the two Mold Dogs behind. Best to save your sources of fire for the main anomaly itself or whatever other creatures it can summon.
Even if you didn't have the map to this place you would've known where this thing's cell is by how your surroundings subtly shift.
The vines on the floor and wall begin to close in around your group, forcing all of you to huddle closer together. The air-to-spore density in the air is getting to a point where your gas masks are struggling to filter clear air into your lungs.
Hell, combined with the darkness, it would be impossible to see anything if not for POI subtly improving everyone's general awareness and perception. You really don't pity any Manager/Head Researcher/Administrator who was tasked with containing anomalies in facilities like these.
Though to be fair your experience with facilities like these were 'abandoned since the Antiseptic War' and 'abandoned for 30~ years'. Maybe actual facilities are more prim and proper.
The vines have closed in to a point where your group has to crawl on their hands and knees to get anywhere. Thankfully it opens up MASSIVELY once you arrive at the actual containment cell. Your group stumbles back onto their feet and you allow them a moment to take in their surroundings.
[ANALYZER MODULE] "There's dozens on dozens of feet of vine past that wall." There's a floor-to-ceiling tall wall of viney plant matter only about 15 feet away from the containment cell door. "It's either back where we came or the cell itself."
"Guys. Check the airlock."
Huh? Your group looks in the direction Benjamin is pointing in. The door to the containment cell is a six inch thick steel airlock that has long since been compromised by vines...and that's when you spot it. A tuff of dark fabric clinging onto one of the vines' thorns.
[CORPORATE V.I.P] Max moves in to examine it and she recognizes what it is pretty quickly. "Valentina showed me something like this a few days ago. This is state-of-the-line OBSCURITÉ FABRIC."
"In English?" Clover snorts. "Fancy C-Corp words."
"A suit of this stuff has a market value of $4259.99. I think this is our guy."
"Now we're talkin'. Let's get movin', folks." Clover gestures at everyone to head inside.
It takes a moment to force the airlock open but it's quick work with six people. You immediately groan in agony upon seeing the spira staircase leading somewhere underground. You'd guess this anomaly must've been a pain if they dug underground to contain it in an otherwise one-floor facility.
Oh well. Down you go. You and Kiara take the lead while everyone else trails behind. Weird, tiny insect-like creature made out of pink moss skitter up and down the narrow walls of the stairway. Max damn near jumps out of her skin when one jumps on her. "GETITOFF!!!"
