<span class="mu-b">"You think if I left you all in the cave, I could return to that new wreck... maybe if-"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"-oye, Tana! S-Someone... someone coming, there's people I think."</span>
While tramping through the underbrush and pondering your next move, when you're almost back to the beach Emil raises your notice in alarm. Indeed a man on horseback seems to have noticed you, and after a quick ride down to the shore, he's now on the return with a few more riders. Down by the beach itself, you see a small crowd of people on foot, making their slower way to you as well.
<span class="mu-b">"...here, mind them with your life."</span> you cautiously set down Farhana and Nafisa for Emil to watch after, as you return to face the approaching lot with your hands free.
<span class="mu-s">"...aayy it's... y-you see that? Woah!"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"I say... stop there monster, I say!"</span>
The mounted men in similar clothes to your captive noble ladies, the Almhorad cultural style, can only draw so near before their horses start panicking at the sight of you and they fight for control of the animals. Seeing your size and height, you can see they're starting to reconsider their bold approach at first. To try and keep up the courage though, one of the men addresses you at a distance.
<span class="mu-s">"They've said you can... communicate, you speak? We are... ah..."</span>
<span class="mu-s">-b-bidden to give thanks for rescuing survivors of a sinking ship!"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"Y-Yes! However... you have brought them far enough, those women with you. Free them to us, and we are to offer some reward!"</span>
You imagine they probably came here with hostile intent, surely that is the case for the angry mob approaching in the distance. But hearing stories of you and seeing you in person are two different things, and the men are struggling to find some way to try and resolve this without trouble. Mainly because it seems, at least here and now they aren't after your head but instead to rescue Farhana and Nafisa.
>A lot of talk to cover up hostile intent. Charge them in attack!
>Negotiating, eh? Well you can talk, but you aren't giving up your captives.
>You don't intend on parting with noble hostages, but talk of a reward intrigues you. Less about what a reward may actually be, and more that these humans (at least out of fear) seem willing to appease you?
