>>5898913You have false assumptions. First, that we could just obliviate Potter or another skilled wizard. Potter, for example was a good enough duelist and later a magic cop that he could stand up to Voldemort and after snake-face died, become the youngest Head Auror ever. We know he fought off two other Aurors after the dementor incident on his own. We are not at the skill level of an Auror.
Hermione is the magic president of the UK and we know from when went to the Remus Lupin cafe, has like half a dozen bodyguards with her when she is in public. I do not think the secret service agents with her would look to kindly on us pulling a wand on her and we would end up in the hands of the wizard CIA who have no issue waterboarding us with vitreseurm
Prior to Last Light, when Helga could still see the future, it was explicitly told to Elliot that anytime Potter knew what was going on, that when other adults knew that they told him, it all ended in ruin. Helga still thinks the same conditions are in play right now.
Our Oculmency tutor is bound by an Unbreakable Oath which would kill her before she tried to tell anyone about the stuff she found in our head, even if she didn't get mind wiped by a guy who is good enough such that it is his job.
We have been told OOC by HeadQM that we are not amazing at using Obliviate.
While I do think that turning Scorpius against Salazar is a good option, the 1st step is to make him doubt his mind ghost. The second is to find out what he promised to Scorpius. And yes, at some point, letting Scopius know what happened to the last person who Salazar was in would probably be beneficial.
