>>5433925hehe it is just my lame innuendo pun on ribald / ribauldequin. Apparently according to wikipedia one was used in the battle of St Albans lol.
I think I saw some of these volley guns in old RTS games like Cossacks European wars (anyone remember that game?) I think it was made by the Stalker videogame studio. It had an incredible amount of combat units on screen for its time (maybe released in year 2000?) , like hundreds and hundreds, and you could change the formations of pike squares and muskets, and also set cannons to fire grapeshot etc. I remember finding the galleons and ships especially beautiful, and also the mini RTS buildings units were all modelled after real world architecture, though a bit anachronistically lol. Eg the Academy (England tech/research constructed building) was modelled after Kings College Cambridge,
http://cossacks.heavengames.com/images/buildings/england.shtmlPortugal, France, Spain, Piedmont, Russia, Turkey etc all had iconic national architecture buildings. When I played this I always ended up running out of gold lol because I spam overbuilt cavalry and employed too many mercenaries from the diplomatic embassies.
