>>5516093Sounds of another fight came down the hallway behind her. The second assassin had bumped into Blackmoore and now Pai must have realised her chance to escape had become quite impossible.
"No chance, won't do that." Pai told you and dropped her playful tone for the first time as she looked around and started to take steps back. "I choose not to surrender, nor I won't die today."
She threw her dagger quickly at you and the tip struck your helmet. As you recovered from the surprise, Pai took hold of a shelf next to her and pulled it to make it fall and block the hallway as it was a bit too tall to fall on the floor. That would buy her a bit of time.
"Sir Gravis!" You shouted as Pai ran down the hallway and you started lifting the shelf back up.
You saw how she disappeared behind a curtain and heard a few sounds of wood breaking before you and Sir Gravis got the shelf back up and you could follow her. You opted to cut the curtain away and you found where she had disappeared.
Garderobe, she had kicked the planks away from the toilet and had procured a hook and a rope from somewhere and was rappelling down the stone outer wall of the Keep.
"Oh that daughter of a bitch!" You shouted as you looked down and saw her nearly halfway to the ground. She still had maybe eight yards to go.
The rope was quite thin, but probably had steel wire inside it. You had heard about such ropes from the Rovers. You could still cut it and let Pai fall rest of the way down on the ground and snow. If she survives the fall and manages to escape through the still raging snow storm, maybe she deserves to get away from you. But you could fit through the same hole and you were fairly certain the rope could hold your weight as well. Aurvan’kal wasn't that heavy of an armour after all. You could follow her and with her being wounded, you should be able to catch her.
>Cut the rope and let her fall. Then go out and around the Keep to see if she has survived.>Follow her, rappel down the rope and attempt to catch her.>Go assist Blackmoore and let Pai go. That was such a smart escape that she can get away from you.>Other, write in.
