After the ordeal, Brun and yourself are subject to yet more scrutiny by your adoptive father. Simply put, this is about <span class="mu-i">succession</span>.
It seems neither of them expected you to actually come out on top in your ordeal. Brun seemed to keep the fact you nearly passed out and died on the way up there to himself; a fact you appreciate. But you did reach the top of the mountain first.
"I wish to do things between both my sons fairly. Both the eldest and the younger. The ordeal shows that Akule is stronger-"
<span class="mu-r">"Hmph. Just overly tall..."</span>
"-And it is pointless to perform the test of the minds. Akule does not know any scripture or the names and commandants of the Gods- Brun would win easily."
Zaj looks at you, as if expecting you to finish his train of thought. Your fingers pass to your waist.
"He seems to know, Brun. The final challenge between you two- the duel! Of course, the succession of the tribe's leader will be my choice- but I wish to do things fairly. Whichever of you wins this duel... I will make them the leader of the Golden Hand."
As you take up your position, Brun looks confident.
<span class="mu-r">"You won't beat me Akule. Surrender now!"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Not a chance."</span>
He's right, of course, even with your newfound determination, Brun has a lifetime of practice that you don't have. You have the advantage of size and strength- and he has his willpower. You can't beat him, at least not as you are.
>Accept your loss to Brun
>Give yourself that last little push
