You imagine that they want Boleski dead for a multitude of reasons, the main one being that he likely does still have his memory intact. To the men at FutureLabs, what the Pole has seen and heard within these walls poses a far greater threat than any of Julia’s own abilities.
“Subject 124, Atticus Charles has said that you come back peacefully or die.” From across the hall, the leader gives the older man his ultimatum.
However, neither death nor imprisonment are options for Boleski, who bares his wings fiercely at the armored men.
“Najpierw cię zabiję!” He hisses, acid spreading across his wings and torso. Translated to English, you’re pretty sure that’s Boleski’s way of saying ‘Fuck you!’
That’s all the resistance the lead-guard needs to have his gun pointed at Boleski anew, pistol positioned straight at his torso. Such a shot would aim true, stain the pristine walls and floors with his blood and guts if not for the rest of you there.
Julia’s the first to spring forwards with a raw fury that’s palpable to everyone in the room, grabbing the arm that’d been holding the pistol and twisting it with a resounding ‘ccrrckk–’
You tackle the one next to her, knocking them out with a swift punch to the face. While their armor is tougher than the typical goon, going for the head is a surefire way to have any normal person out like a light.
Casting a quick glance to the collared mutant, there’s not even a hint of emotion on her pallid face at the sight of her captors getting beaten like a sack of potatoes. Nothing, not even the faintest semblance of anything is there.
It’s perturbing, in a way, and brings you back to how Julia had been when you first found her, but, even still there’s just something about this one that has you–
A couple of bullets whizzing past you cuts that train of thought right off, but they hadn’t been aimed specifically at you. Those were meant for Boleski.
