https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKI6iz9KO5oThe three of you get off and give the friendly man a casual wave as you do so, before you glance around at the surroundings. The 'Pupil' is a bit of a bizarre space to be in, as the floor transitions from stone to a clear kind of glass. The walls are completely and totally transparent, allowing you a perfect view of the outside world, and as you step onto the glass you can feel a tingling sensation as mana seems to connect to your body. Your vision of the outside world sharpens considerably, maintaining a wide view of everything around but providing a massively increased clarity for the details of things.
"Woah..." You can't help but say under your breath, your eyes locking on to a sparrow flying at least a mile out. You can see the individual barbs in its feathers, the reflection of the world around it in its eyes, and still maintain the majority of your peripheral vision. It's such a strange and bizarre way of viewing the world that it actually gives you a bit of a headache. You turn your sight to the interior of the pupil instead, finding the effect to not take place on the inside, and glance about.
Standing right next to the 'window', fully armored and with his arms tucked behind his back, is what must be the captain - his uniform is made of actual metal, and seems more elaborate than that of the other guards. He's watching the outside world keenly, while upon a nearby desk an odd creature resembling an octopus with the head of an owl and a fur much like a mink's focuses intently on scribbling something out on eight different pieces of paper, dipping its tendrils in a jar of ink whenever they go dry. You imagine it must be a familiar, given the unnatural appearance and dedication to its task.
"This had better be good. What is it?" The captain speaks up without turning around, though his head does tilt slightly in your group's direction.
>"Well, we had some important questions, sir..." (Write-in what you want to ask him about.)>"We needed to report some alarming information about Mr. Silversmith...">Give up the act, attack and subdue him. You'll have free reign to look around everything in his office if you can pull it off without drawing attention.>Something else? Write it in!
