>>5809615Bray is in too much pain to do or say anything constructive. You’re going to let someone know he’s up here when you go down. You don’t want to carry the burden of deciding a life’s worth, you just wanna protect the life of someone you know. And that’s what you did. These tough situations are sure a test of character like Mama Bodil said, and she’s right, this is the worst way to learn your limits. There have to be better ways.
Moral quandaries aside, you went past Bray through the hallways. You have Vera to take care of! She depends on you! The gun left your hands at one point inside a drawer of a random desk you saw. The elevator wasn’t working, so you went down the stairs with Vera in your arms. Everything is a blur from this point onwards. The stress, the adrenaline, and the chaos overwhelmed your senses, but you managed to leave the building and went straight to the car somehow. Eddie carried the wheelchair to the back.
Exhausted, you look through the window and see the chaos unfold. The upper half of the building is on fire. The firefighters and paramedics are here, people are being escorted out… It’s a mess. Despite all that, you’re glad you told them you heard someone screaming up on the 5th floor though.
Eddie asks you if you found what you were looking for. You half-assedly raise the archives with one arm, you’re beat. The Cat plushy always keeps his evidence with him. Your getaway driver smiles and starts taking you back to Mama’s office.
You feel closer to obtaining Vera’s absolution…
Anyway, that’s all we have for this thread! Thanks for playing and see you very soon!
