You spend the next two days to both pick up the ship part in the Dreary Heights. This ship part is the Radiation Shield. Absolutely vital to deep space transportation, pretty much useless for being on the planet. Well, come to think of it, some of the smaller parts can be used to help improve your suits radiation protection. This planet has a much higher amount of radiation then your own, and the lifeforms here seem adapted to it.
The next day, you decide to go explore the dungeon in Fire Alley; the Mineral Pools, as you had more information on this one then whatever may be in the Blue Bay. As you suspected, the mineral pools have a large amount of moisture and water- leading to you bringing a decent amount of blue pikmin. After a full day of exploration at the bottom of the dungeon, you find a treasure; unusual rocks.
These rocks have an untold amount of geothermal energy locked inside, and with the slightest strike they could be set to explode! Extremely dangerous yes, but also potentially very useful. Your ship AI tells you that you can now lock onto the energy signatures of these bomb rocks in any area you travel to next as a method of preparation, letting you collect a few bomb rocks instead of needing to carry them around all day or within your spaceship which would be needlessly dangerous. You dub them Bomb Rocks.
