You nodded your agreement. Out of everyone in your group(other than you), Cindy seemed to take a liking to Felicia. She had a carefree nature that made her easy to talk to and get along with. She even managed to work her way into Prowler’s cold, cold heart. Although, you noticed that he seemed to enjoy conversing with Glass ever since you introduced him to the team.
When Cindy came back, Felicia said her goodbyes, gave her a big hug and a kiss on the forehead, before running off into the night.

Thankfully, the place that Jess wanted you to meet her at wasn’t terribly far away. She sat on top of a five-story building, waiting patiently in her costume. No sooner than you sat down, the lesson had already begun.
Various books were spread about the place, and Spider-Woman allowed both of you to page through them and learn some of the most basic of gestures. She’d correct you whenever you made a mistake, and would occasionally quiz you on something by speaking only in sign language. She spoke very little that night, encouraging you to learn quickly so that the three of you could experience how it felt to communicate in real time using the new language.
There was a lot of double checking and misinterpretations. Like, a lot. But somehow, that frustrating process seemed to improve Cindy’s mood a bit. Just having everyone involved with the conversation limited in the same ways that she had been gave her a way to relate to you. And to your knowledge, this is pretty much the first activity that you’ve taken part in together.
After about two and a half hours of this, Jess decided that your first session was over. She let you take her ASL books with you when you left, since she’d already committed them to memory.
You thanked her out loud, and then in sign language together with Cindy. Spider-Woman smiled warmly at the two of you as you swung away from your meeting spot.
As emotionally exhausting as today had been, seeing that wide grin on Cindy’s face somehow made it all seem worth it.

The following day, you left Cindy with Flint and swung over to your buddy’s old apartment so that you could meet up with Vic and Pete. You were supposed to go out for lunch with your parents today.
How did you feel about that?
>Nervous. Family gatherings are always so unnecessarily awkward.>Annoyed. This was almost certainly going to devolve into an interrogation. You weren’t exactly looking forward to another tongue lashing from your folks.>Worried. If Mom and Dad don’t agree to leave, then that might tempt Vic and Pete to stay with them.>Excited! You couldn’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they heard what their “favorite son” had been up to.>Write-in.Pastebins:
