Hello, and welcome to Star Wars: The End of the Republic! An alternate timeline where Chancellor Palpatine was killed and the Clone Wars would continue, pitting brother against brother, clone against clone. You will be in command of a clone battalion during these troubled times, doing your best to find your way in the galaxy, perhaps fighting for one side or choosing your own and blazing a path of freedom. No matter what happens, the galaxy will be more divided than it ever has been before, and danger and opportunity lurk in equal measure. Will you find victory, or will you tragically fall amongst so many others in a conflict that will tear the galaxy apart?
First, your character. You are commander…
>Knox, a shiny fresh from Kamino. You’re inexperienced, but that only means you’ve got everything to prove. However, the war looks like it’s already drawing to a close and you wonder if it’s too late to win any last victories against the enemies of The Republic…
>Jodo, a typical trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic. You’re not sure how to feel about the war. Without it you wouldn’t exist, but all you’ve known is the life of a soldier. You’re not sure what will happen once you’re no longer needed by The Republic…
>Sulla, a Geonosis veteran. You’ve seen and done it all, but the war has taken its toll on you and your men. If it weren’t for the fact nobody knows what will happen to you clones, you’d only want this long war to be over. At least it seems like the Separatists are finally on the road to defeat…
>Write in (This vote is mainly for your personality, it won’t significantly impact any stats)
You are a battalion commander, commanding officer (CO) of 4 companies, with the whole battalion part of the 451st Regiment, under Commander Fabian, a Geonosis veteran and extremely competent officer. But how did you get to your position?
>Trained from birth as an officer. You were born to lead your brothers, take care of them, and bring them to victory. With your rank and experience, you have been given command of 1 specialised company; list will be given at battalion creation, if selected. However, it will be more difficult to resupply this company, and losses will hit them hard.
>Rose through the ranks. While you were originally a humble trooper, your performance in your first battle caught the eye of your superiors, and you’ve now advanced to battalion commander. Your troops are completely loyal, but you may be looked down upon by the other officers and republic officials.
>An ARC Trooper. Due to the losses suffered during the war, you’ve been assigned to the battalion as commander, despite not receiving the formal training for it. A veritable one-man army, you almost don’t need a HQ company, but your lack of proper strategic skills will mean your other companies will suffer.
