Casey gently removes the bug from her and begins to pet it with her pointer finger. "Aww. These guys should be harmless. You're a productive horror from an anomaly, aren't you? Such a good bugge!"
"She has a pet cockroach at home." Clover says that like it explains anything.
Whatever helps her keep sane you suppose.
The trip down is remarkably short. Couldn't have been more than ten or so feet underground. Once you're at the bottom, your group finds themselves in an incredibly cramped containment cell that has not been maintained for what you'd guess is at least sixty years.
Holes have been dug into the walls, floor, and ceiling through the incessant digging of the vines, slowly worming their way deeper underground and to the surface above. The bits of the metal floor/ceiling/walls you can see have been caked in rust and grime.
A thick stench similar to wet dog fur and wet mildew hangs in the spore-flooded air. Your gas masks are barely able to handle the concentration of spores here; You probably have fifteen minutes tops before your party burn through every single filter they have. As for the source of it?

Sitting in the middle of the cell is a large, beating heart that presses right against the shallow ceiling of the containment cell. It is made completely out of a variety of mosses, molds, fungus, vines and mildew that constantly shifts in composition and color.
With every deep, reverberating beat from the heart, a thick cloud of spores is coughed out of its vine-like aortas and arteries. The piles on piles of spores reaches up to your knees with how many are produced by this anomaly. It doesn't seem threatened by your presence despite your group attacking its spawn.
[OPEN MINDED] "I can hear its voice in my head." Benjamin struggles to breath even with his gas mask on. Each breath is haggard and forced. "It wants us to join it. To lose ourself to it. To hollow us out."
"Indeed it does." A disembodied voice echoes from some undetermined source of the containment cell. "That's why it is safe for me to be here. It understands me."
[POI ACTIVE] You can see right through his invisibility implant thanks to POI. While he's still obscured from the thick spores you can make out the rough outline of Seath through the haze of darkness and spores.
His figure is clearly that of a bodybuilder than some pencil pusher researcher. His large biceps and calves alongside his square, boxy torso is something you either get from copious drug use or an incredible rigorous workout routine. His expensive suit is straining to cover up his body; It's clearly meant for form over function.
"Guys." Max gulps with a LOT of effort. "Where's his gas mask?"
Your group tries to find the outline of it on his figure but no, nothing. No hint that he's wearing one. M-maybe it's an implant that helps filter everything out! Yeah!
The only other explanation is that he's more spore than man now.
