It looks like things are going smoothly when out of nowhere the slaves gather up and form a circle as they refuse to let the guards anywhere near them. Deciding to investigate you jump down and your batwings, which you've been using as a cloak since Marineford unfurl as you glide down. And as you land the people down there get to also notice your black arm. They start whispering something along the lines of "yokai" or "bakemono".
"Is there a problem?"
A rather diminutive old grampa covered in blue tattoos steps forth with his arms crossed.
"You the boss?"
"I just speak for my fellows. And we refuse to participate in whatever twisted game this is. If you want to torture us just get it over with."
"Hmmm."
You raise your hand and point at the old man, which makes every one of them twitch from fear. They almost rush you as your black arm extends and reaches for the grampa but the guards to stop them thankfully. Then your fingers wrap around his collar and squeeze down on the iron. The slave collar promtply explodes but your dark willpower keeps it contained so the old man is left unharmed. He looks shocked as your arm leaves him and he realizes he's free.
"Believe me now?"
"A-Ah..."
"You-"
Pointing at a guard you beckon him closer.
"Get this old guy some food. He's all skin and bones."
"B-But that's our food!"
"You don't like not eating? Should've thought of that sooner. Now give him your food. You can live one day without it."
As the old man is handed a single bowl of red bean soup, which might just be the biggest meal he had in probably years, he looks at you in utter befuddlement.
"I-Is this genuine?"
"Yes. Eat."
"And... what happens after?"
"What are you? Stupid? I already said. You're free to go."
"Go? Go where? Our nation, our home is in ruins. It's not any better out there than in here! Not as long as Orochi rules-"
You lean in close and start whispering in his ears.
"You haven't heard this from me. But that guy is dead. I killed him."
Then you pat him on the shoulder.
"Now eat."
He's left stunned. Too stunned to even answer as his fellows start bombarding him with questions. You smirk as you leave. However as you do your ears pick up something. Two things in fact. One is a voice calling out for you, by name. It's a voice you're familiar with. And hearing it is making you feel even giddier than you already were. The other is coming from a cell that remains locked. From within you can hear a faint, weak whisper coming. It says "Lies. Don't believe his lies.". Both intrigue you a bit.
>Go and visit the familiar voice and see how the "Captain" is doing
>Go check on the one that dares to doubt you
>Ignore them. They'll both be free soon. So it doesn't matter what they have to say
>Other?
