>>5407040You see that he’s still fighting, but while you weren’t looking he and the elemental switched positions. Now with his back to you, he swings and fires off another azure slash through the elemental. You watch as he then uses the momentum of his swing to twist and flip up and over the clown-seeming phantom, firing a quick pair of back-and-forth slashes down on it. He then lands back on his original side, back facing the clown.
“Gaaah! Y-You’ve gotten better, boy.” the clown-shaped elemental taunts, both turning back to face each other. “But that doesn’t mean you can kill me, even with that old toy.”
“Discern Enemy.” you cast, raising a hand to identify the boy’s levels, stats, and to get a handle on his powers. But as you do, shocking information begins flooding into your mind. You understand just how powerful he is, realizing immediately that you and Albedo aren’t enough. If you had Shalltear, Aura, Mare, Cocytus, and all of the Pleiades present as well, you would perhaps consider duking it out. But with just the two of you? Not a chance in hell. He’s not built like a player, you may as well have walked up to a surprise raid, or maybe even a world event boss. This is BAD. “Albedo, we’re leaving. Gate.”
“Lord Ainz?” she asks, sounding quite surprised as you create a gateway portal directly back to the fake Nazarick, built back during the battles with the lizardfolk tribes. But before you can step through it, you hear the young archwizard roar.
“Crystal Magic Sealer!” Chilli shouts, throwing some sort of crystal spike at the gate. But it’s odd, you can’t actually sense any mafic from it. In fact, the crystal seems entirely devoid of magic somehow. The moment the two spells collide, the gate’s magic is seemingly sucked INTO the crystal! Ending your portal as the crystal falls to the ground, brimming with magic.
“Ah-“ you hear yourself say, sounding worried even to you. Understanding what just happened, you feel even less positive about fighting now. Having a magic negate strong enough to counter such a high-tier spell up his sleeve is dangerous, the boy probably able to counter your most dangerous attacks. This is not a good fight for you, you need your heavy hitters! Knowing you were marching on a village of high-tier spellcasters, you’d left everyone without sufficient defense back in Nazarick or out on their other varied tasks in the Sorcerer Kingdom. Just in case the enemy had laid a devious trap with the power of their ‘Master of Explosions’.
