Monifa recoils in disgust. "SACA-Units-Are-Dumb! >:("
"Of-Course-I-Do-Not-Act-Like-One. Even-If-We-Were-Born-From-The-Same-Mother." Monifa pauses as she checks the cards that were dealt to her. "Metaphorically."
Two cards are slid over to you. You briefly check them to see what you got. Oh, those cards fucking suck!
You got a 3 and 4 of diamonds. The best you can hope for is a flush, MAYBE a full house, but even then it would be easy to beat if someone got a better flush/full house.
"So, you were made by ARC?"
"Indeed. I-Am-A-Prototype-Model-Made-By-ARC-For-Field-Missions. I-Was-Meant-To-Assist-ETF-Agents." She gestures towards Moxxie and Edward, who are too busy checking their cards to pay attention. You notice the briefest grin flash across Ed's face.
Everyone else, including you, has a stone-cold poker face.
"Ah, no wonder why I didn't see something like you before. If you don't mind me prying, how do you exactly assist your fellow ETFS?"
"My! Getting-To-The-Point-Huh? :p" Monifa's screen displays a loading icon as she tries to think of a way to answer your question. As you wait, Edward deals three cards for the flop.
Oh, that's not good. 2 of Diamonds, Ace of Spades, King of Hearts. You have NOTHING to work with here. You can't let the others know that.
"Well!" Monifa snaps back to reality. "ARC-Created-Me-To-Deal-With-Specifically-Cognitohazardous-And-Infohazardous-Anomalies. I-Can-Perceive-Things-That-Would-Kill/Hurt-Normal-Humans."
"My-Creation-Was-Hastened-Due-To-GOI401-Or-'Refracted Mirror Collective'." She lowers her voice until it's almost a whisper. "They're-A-Known-Anomalous-Art-Organization-Who-Produces-Excessive-Amounts-Of-Info/Cognitohazardous-Materials."
"Their-Art-Also-Sucks-Really-Hard-BTW. Amateur-Stuff-DESU."
"Oh. Well," You try to think of a polite thing to say. "I bet you're pretty good at your job then. You got all of those cracks on your screen, but you're still kicking."
"Must be a pretty good ETF agent, all things considered. Heck, a robot that appreciates art too? That's pretty neat." You're never been the artistic type but you still respect those who enjoy the finer arts.
Her screen turns a bright shade of purple. "Well, I wouldn't say that-" Oh, she's speaking a LOT faster now. "Butthankyouanywaysthatsveryniceofyouvincent."
"Damn." Edward whistles out a low, drawn-out tone. "Haven't heard her talk that fast in a while."
"It is impressive to see such a convincing simulacrum of embarrassment from a machine of steel, plastic, rubber, and wires." Moxxie nods sagely. "Call."
"Check." You tap your knuckles against the table.
"Check!" Monifa does the same after she calms down.
"Check." Edward does the same as everyone else. He draws from the deck, placing another card on the table.
5 of Diamonds. Okay, you could possibly get a flush now, but any flush you can make from this SUCKS. That also relies on you getting another Diamond card.
You look at the other players to try to get a read on them.
