>>6162520Firearms are easy to "use" sure as in pulling the trigger, but you aren't teaching a bunch of 16-year-olds to do decent mag changes, to properly airm under stress, not sweep their comrades, clear a jam, do good follow-up shots, actually hit something more than a dozen feet away, ect. in a few hours. This comes from doing pistol and some rifle competitions pretty often. Yeah, we could get them to a low level, maybe, but that assumes a competent instructor; as far as we have seen in game? The only guy who knows how to use a gun is Potter himself. Don't get me wrong, I love guns but tossing them in the hands of a bunch of untrained teens in a stressful situation is asking for trouble. Or not, we are playing make believe so W/E.
They are likely just better off sticking to wands, since they have been practicing with those for years.
Body armor is likely a bit more useful. While even light-weight soft armor takes some getting used to, it will save you, even if you are kind of awkward with it.
Just my take though.
