>>6026577You whisper into Ienaga's ears, “No intent to disrespect, but I just have to make sure. You told no one about our plans, correct?” Ienaga nods towards the blinged out officer/warlord examining his fake nails. “No, of course not. Can't be anyone but him.” The garish man sits up properly in his chair before calling out to you, “Commander Sylvia Thornton, what's with the hush-hush? You are hurting poor Okwonko's feelings here. And the Tas-sickly man too.” Jean-Pierre briefly looks up from his paperbook to curse in French.
“And why would he do that? They used to work for rival crime families, no?” Your interlocutor merely laughs, “No loyalty but money for them. My theory is, she must have put a decent prize on your whereabouts. But why?” That is certainly one possibility. The other possibility is intently observing you from across the room. You try to ignore him as best you can, but he has a way of coiling up your spine with his presence alone. “Docking sequence complete,” Goldsmith announces over the PA.
Okwonko, bored with haranguing you, turned instead to the presence. “And who are you, my friend? I don't think I saw you at any parties. Probably because I was too high!" He slaps his thighs wheezing. The cat speaks softly under a harmless smile, “Nobody. I am not here. I was never anywhere.” Realising who he's up against, the pirate quickly shuts his trap.
The door opens to reveal the uninvited guest, tiger fur cape draped over her shoulders. She makes a show of puffing cigar smoke at the agent before slithering over to your side. “My, my. I never expect that bore Raymond to father such an exquisite...” Her long fingers pass through your hair. “Ah, is that camphor I hear? Refined taste as well. I can't wait to make you squirm under my tongue.” The glossy purple lipstick is getting all over your ear as she nibbles on it. Ienaga nods to you, hand already wrapped around his sword hilt.
“Leave her alone, Commander Liu. What part of ‘no sexual harassment’ do you not understand?” Jean-Pierre sets down his book to reveal a powder-pistol already trained on the seductress' face. “No fun as always, John. So puritan for a Frenchman. Sure your gun's still working fine?” His thumb flicks the safety lever forward. “What did you not understand?”
Okwonko breaks into the tense atmosphere, “Leave the fun for later, Ma. We have business to do first.” Liu pinches your hip one last time before Ienaga chases her away. He tosses a pouch of bone dice onto the table. “Just in case we can't agree to disagree.” He smiles broadly, revealing a mosaic of gold and silver teeth.
