Once you're done, the both of them are staring wide-eyed. From the looks on their faces, you deduce that Squid hasn't found anything like that when researching their books. The effect yours had on DarkTyrannomon was severe enough, but coupled with the fact that they're too heavily encrypted to crack, there really has to be something wrong here.
"... You're certain it was your book?" She asks.
"Yes. Like I said, it was buzzing in my inventory. You know how, uh... Your Digimon can bother you even if you store the Digivice?"
Kaus Gammamon and ToyAgumon both nod.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Yep! She doesn't put me in there much. But I did that at the start."</span></span>
"It was like that for a while, before popping all the way out. And that symbol that my book formed... I've seen it before. In the radar station. DarkTyrannomon had it even then, so I don't know how long this was going on for."
"This doesn't make any sense." Wind mumbles. "Digivolution caused by a book.app? It's nothing like your OOPART, it didn't unpack anything, right?"
You can't quite remember whether data actually flooded into him or not.
"Doc Cracker told me about items that could directly power Digivolution for a bit." Squid muses. "But this sounds really different."
"Where do you two keep your books? They're not on you anymore, right?"
Wind points to a corner of the workshop.
"We've stored them for safekeeping. Squid reads hers a lot, but I've already figured out what I need to know for mine."
"He only reads it when he's feeling down." She giggles.
"Hey!"
He sets the coolant device to ultra-high and blasts her with a wave of cold, prompting her to squeak and retreat, but not without snickering into her long sleeves.
"Thanks for telling us all this. We hit a dead end with the research and decided not to bother anymore." Wind continues.
"Do you have any idea what to do with the books?" You ask.
