“Von Carstein!”
The two of them, Bok and Lucian, had made their way through the magnificent temple with their eyes glancing at the beauty of it all. When they entered the Temple Bok seemed to have a direction set, likely the scent of their comrade now dancing upon his senses. Yet what Lucian did not know was why the beast was cautious still.
No, that would be a lie. The Knight knew full well why one would be cautious as Morrslieb began to crest over the Horizon. So at the steps of ziggarote the Knight spoke aloud.
“I am Lucian of Verac, the one you have failed to slay twice!” Lucian declared at the top of his lungs as he placed a step onto the temple’s base, “Now I am here, ready once more to challenge you. Today will be thrice you had attempted to kill me, and it will be thrice I will come out alive. Today though, I claim your life!”
The Black Knight placed his foot onto the first of many steps, “Face me!”
Lucian received his response in an instant. The howls and calls of wolves cried all around Lucian, announcing the intent of the mighty Von Carstein. It did not take long for Lucian to see the wave of monsters coming down towards him. Then, from their places where they hid from light of the sun, came pouring out from behind Lucian.
All kinds of monsters. Let them be the echoes of wolves or the twisted remains of men reformed into something more ‘manageable’, each of them were a terrifying aspect of what they had been in their previous life.
Lucian placed his next foot onto the steps, then began to climb. Behind him was Bok, its massive form shaking at the anticipation of a life and death battle.
It was time to fight.
>Charge towards the hordes coming from above!
>Grind them all down! Kill enough and they will crumble
>Be tricky, use the slope to your advantage
