You pick up speed, deciding in fractions of a second what to do. You never tried a stunt like this before, but you know that trying to ride right thru that water is a disaster waiting to happen, and there is no guarantee you'll find a safe place to hide away. No, you have to just ride over it. You drive along the smooth tunnel walls, ending up using your momentum to cling to it as you ride above the rushing water. Quickly, you swing back towards the tunnel's bottom as the last of the water trickles past, gaining a bit more speed then anticipated and fishtailing up the other side of the tunnel's wall.
<span class="mu-r">"Oh, shit!!!"</span>
You oscillate between the two sides of the tunnel, even as the light of the end of the tunnel draws closer. You know you've only got a few seconds before the next wave comes; and this one will be many times larger and faster; going back and forth like this has made your progress shorter, even though you're going faster then before.
You grit your teeth and angle your bike, with a final push, break out the mouth of the tunnel and fly up the curved side of the open-air wash right on level 4. You jump the edge of the canal right as the next huge wave of water is released; the water rushing down to Level 5, as if you weren't ever there. You made it to Level 4.
<span class="mu-r">"Yeee haw!"</span>
Coming to a stop on foreign concrete, you look around, happily having exited the tunnel in a quiet and backalley area. You expected that; you just had a feeling Level 4'ers wouldn't be as comfortable around big open industrial projects or machinery like Level 5'ers are. But the first thing that hits you is how quiet it is.
Hmm...
