>>5629371You watch as Chilli leaps up into the air, ignoring Trunks who he'd been fighting while gathering light magic in one hand, darkness in the other. He blitzes past Ainz, past Mechikabura right to the Supreme Kai of Time, swinging both hands forward as she turns towards him.
“Chaos Space!” he roars, slamming both orbs together the moment they contact her. The woman, who you heard called the Supreme Kai of Time, is immediately engulfed by the swirling, conflicting Light and Dark magics.
“Heh, not bad.” you hear Mechikabura say, everyone remembering their own battles and immediately jumping back into the fray. Trunks flies up at Chilli, clearly intending to continue their fight, but with the Supreme Kai of Time incapacitated, the blue old man points a finger at him, then the ground, and Trunks is floored. You aren't sure what sort of technique that was, but it sure looked impressive as hell.
“Kazuma, we have to hurry! Before the god-killer fully wakes up!” Aqua cries out, shaking you as you look back down to her, tears forming in her eyes. She looks genuinely frightened, and decide that discretion is the better part of valor, and all that. If whatever Karn's doing is enough to genuinely frighten Aqua, despite all the madness that'd been going on for the past few minutes, then it's time for you all to flee. “Please, we need to go! Right now!”
“Darkness, Yunyun, let's-” you start to say to your other two party members, who both turn from the madness beyond the skeleton's undead special army he'd summoned to protect you and the other Crimson Demon villagers. But your thoughts are interrupted as you notice something: did the trembling just stop. “Huh?”
“Oh no, it's too late.” Aqua says, collapsing to the ground and clutching her head, trembling in fear. “We're gonna die, we're all gonna die.”
“C'mon, we've been through worse than this, right?” Yunyun tries encouraging her, but your gaze is fixated towards the crater. Then suddenly a fused fighter, wearing the usual Metamoran clothes of someone like Gotenks or Gogeta starts flying away from the crater.
“Hey, where are you-?” Gotenks shouts, the other fusion in his Super Saiyan 3 form when the sky behind them disappears in a flash of blinding light. Everything is consumed by that blinding flash, you recoiling in pain.
“Gah, shit!” you call out, pressing your hands reflexively to your eyes as they're seared by the light. A moment later a massive shock wave slams into you, knocking you from your feet and into a tumbling roll across the ground. Dozens of people, men and women scream out in shock and or pain, the sudden explosion no doubt searing their eyes as well. Everything is pain for several seconds, the light still seeping in from your palms pressed to your eyes slowly starting to fade.
